Introduction to Kayaking

This class is taught with your choice of a sit-on-top or sit-inside kayak and is appropriate for people who are interested in kayaking but have little or no experience. This course will provide a good foundation of kayaking skills, knowledge, and safety pointers which will help you to progress to the next level. All equipment is provided. Payment is required at time of booking.

Paddlesports Rental/Demo

XSL will have a series of rental/demos scheduled throughout the year. The rental/demos are by appointment only and take place at Cabrillo Beach on the inside beach. Most of the equipment we sell is available for rental/demo to help you determine what best suits your skills and needs and how it performs on the water. Payment is required in advance and can be made by phone or in person at Xstreamline.  Fee can be deducted from same day purchase of equipment.

Open Ocean Kayaking

Are you ready for the next step? Review and fine tune previously learned techniques in the open ocean. Class includes entering and exiting the surf zone, multiple styles of rescue techniques, and advanced kayak handling skills. All this is taught while enjoying the spectacular coastal scenery of Pt. Fermin. Equipment provided. Payment is required at time of booking.  20% discount for customers who provide their own kayak and gear.

Palos Verdes Tour

This guided kayak tour is designed for paddlers with some kayaking experience who are ready for a more challenging, open ocean paddle. Enjoy our local marine life along the Palos Verdes coastline while socializing with other paddlers. Equipment and transportation provided. 20% discount for customers who provide their own kayak and gear.
